Language Arts- This week we will continue Unit 9 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, How can things in nature be used to make new things? we will read, Bread Comes to Life. We will learn the sight word – where & good. We will focus on the long o sounds. We will continue to determine the missing sounds in CVC words, count how many words in a sentence and read in small groups and have reading homework. We will continue to review all the different word families and in grammar, we will learn about adjectives, we will use size to describe nouns.
Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be reading and CVC words.
Math- This week we complete Chapter 16– 2-Dimensional Shapes and have our test on Friday 5/17.
Math Centers- We will practice identifying 2D shapes.
Jesus Time- We have completed the whole New Testament of the Bible! Now we will go back to the Old Testament and read the stories we did not get to finish before we jumped to Jesus’s birth for Christmas.
Science: We are continuing to help our grass grow, and just last week we gave them haircuts with first grade! We will also learn about different insects including bees, ants and more!
Answer: Because he’s always spotted!
There is a dress down day to support the yearbook on Friday 5/17- $5 to participate!
