Language Arts- This week we will finish Unit 6 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, How can you stay safe in bad weather? & we will read, “Waiting Out the Storm”. We will review our sight words – are, he, is, little, my, she, was, with, we and learn his & her. We will focus on the long and short o sounds and review letter sounds /e/, /h/, /f/, /r/, /b/, /l/, /k/. We will continue to blend sounds, determine the missing sounds in CVC words and review word families. In grammar, we will continue to learn about singular and plural nouns, Ex. duck and ducks.
Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be word families and sight words.
Math- This week we will continue Module 11 – Add To and Take From 10.
Math Centers- We will add and subtract using manipulatives.
Jesus Time- We will continue to read about Jesus growing up and all the wonderful stories he told and miracles he preformed. We will also continue to discuss Lent and what that church season means.
Science: This week we will dive into Mystery Science and learn about why we have Leap Years.
Social Studies: We will discuss Stevie Wonder and his influence on the music industry and Barack Obama and his influence on our country.
