Thanksgiving is almost here! Where did November go?!

Language Arts- This week we will complete lesson 9 in our Journeys book and have our assessment on Tuesday 11/26. We have read both Good Morning Digger, What Do Wheels Do All Day? and will read Wheels Long Ago and Today. In grammar, we will continue to learn about adjectives for numbers and colors, and create sentences such as, The black truck has four wheels. We will continue to learn the sight words to, play, and go; and review the sound/letter Pp. Our new sight word for this short week is “at”.

On Wednesday we will have a “Thankful Show & Tell”! I am asking that each student bring in something they are thankful for, whether it be a picture of family or friends, a toy, game, etc. The students will share what they are thankful for in front of all their peers!

Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be whole group or small group activities pertaining to Thanksgiving!

Math- This week we will continue to learn about Chapter 5 Addition. The children have been doing great so far learning about this topic!

Jesus Time- This week we will read our Children’s Beginner Bible Stories that they love!

Science: This week we read our final November Scholastic, Helping Long Ago.

Wednesday we will have our Thanksgiving feast with the whole school, partake in the Turkey Trot if you have sent in your $3, and enjoy Thanksgiving activities such as bingo in our classroom!
