Joke of the week: What do you give a sick bird?

Language Arts- This week we continue Unit 3 of our Journey’s series, lesson 14. Our essential question is, Where do different animals make their homes? We will read, Home for a Tiger, Home for a Bear and Turtle Splash. As we read the stories we will focus on the author’s purpose, cause and effect, and predicting. We will learn new sight words, are and now; and review the letter/sound Bb and words that have the letter Bb. In grammar, we will learn about verbs in the past tense “-ed”. Examples: jumped, hopped, watched. We will continue to discuss capitalization and punctuation in complete sentences.

Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be working on short “e” word family endings such as -en -et -ed -eg.

Math- This week we will continue Chapter 7 – Represent, Count, and Write 11 to 19.

Math Centers- This week we will do math centers, these topics include numbers 1-15, addition, subtraction, and more!

Jesus Time- We will read our Children’s Beginner Bible Stories that they love and watch videos on the stories we read to follow-up on what we read and understand each story a little more! .

Science: This week we will continue to discuss why animals hibernate and migrate.
