Language Arts- We are continuing to review the letters of the alphabet, this week we will complete the alphabet with letters X-Z. To learn and review the letters we are identifying them, writing, singing, and watching videos; all of these things will help us reinforce what we are learning! Each day we open with identifying letters, their sounds, count words in a sentence and syllables.
Our next sight word we are learning is “we”. We will learn how to say it, spell it, and most importantly identify it throughout sentences, stories, and sentences we make. We will also review our four previous sight words, I, can, it, the, go.
We will continue to discuss the concepts of print, how to identify the front and back cover of a book. We will identify the first sound in words and we will listen to Ms. Vollono and determine how many words are in a sentence. We will also learn about nouns for places and review nouns for people.
Math- The children did great with their second math test and we will begin our third lesson in math this week! Each night we will have math homework to practice what we learned that day, except for Friday! Lesson 3 will focus on Matching and Counting Numbers to 5.
Jesus Time- We are diving into Ms. Vollono’s children’s Bible and reading such fun stories, completing crafts, activities, and watching videos to enjoy the stories! This week we will read about Abraham and Sarah, his son Isaac and the search for a wife for Isaac.
Science/Emotions- We will discuss why leaves change during this time of the year…we call it Fall or Autumn and what animals we might see around during this time of the year.
