Math Grade 6

This week we are finishing up our coordinate graphing chapter. A review sheet will be completed in class Monday.  The test on coordinate graphing will be on Tuesday, 2/7.

****Due to a meeting that I must attend, there is not extra help this week.

Math Grade 7

This week we are continuing with Unit 4. This unit explores geometry.  We will start by exploring scale factors. This week we will focus on determining if a triangle is possible given angle and side measurements.  Special pairs of angles such as complementary, supplementary, and vertical angles, and cross sections will be explored

Pre-Algebra

This week we are continuing with linear functions. We learned how to write linear functions given two points.  We also explored parallel and perpendicular lines.  This led us up to graphing and solving systems of equations using substitution and elimination.

There will be a unit test at some point next week. There will be a quiz solving systems using elimination on Friday, 2/10.

Algebra

We are finishing up chapter 7, Exponential Functions. We explored exponent rules and differences between linear functions and exponential functions. Exponential growth and decay were also discussed.  The test on this chapter is Tuesday, 2/7.  .

Extra help is by appointment.
