Math 6

This week we are continuing with our Unit on Statistics and Data. We have covered the measures of center: mean, median, and mode.  Minimum, maximum values, and range have also been explored.  These skills were then applied to application problems.  This week we will be learning about the lower quartile, upper quartile, interquartile range, and outliers.  This week we will be focusing on displaying this data as a box and whisker plot.

Next week we will begin reviewing for midterms, which is on January 18th.

There will be a quiz on creating box and whisker plot on Friday, 1/6/17

 

Extra help will be on Wednesdays from 7:45-8:15

 

 

Math Grade 7

This week we will begin reviewing for our midterm, which is on January 18th.  Our focus will be on operations with rational numbers and application problems.  We will be using the Buckle Down to Common Core workbook for the midterm review.  This book had to be purchased as part of the school supplies in September.

 

Extra help will be on Wednesdays from 7:45-8:15

Pre-Algebra

This week we will begin reviewing for our midterm, which is on January 18th.  Our focus this week will be on rational and irrational numbers, exponents, and scientific notation.  We will be using the Buckle Down to Common Core workbook for the midterm review.  This book had to be purchased as part of the school supplies in September.

Algebra

This week we will begin our midterm review. The math midterm is on January 18th.  This week we will be reviewing linear equations, systems of equations, graphs of linear equations and inequalities.  We will be using the Barron’s review book that had to be purchased in September for our review material.
