Last week our class was able to go out in the community garden to plant the Kale we began growing in our classroom. We can’t wait to check back there in a few weeks to see how well everything is growing.

Here’s a look at what we will be learning this week!

Math– We will be taking a test on Module 6 on Tuesday. Then we will begin Module 7 on length, money, and data.

Reading- We will be reading Princess Pooh from our reading textbook. Princess Pooh is a story about a young girl who is envious of all the attention her sister gets until she finds out what it’s like to have a disability.

LA- We will be learning about adverbs that tell about how, when, and where.

Science- We will begin Chapter 9 on Energy. The students will also be reviewing what they know about Whales for our field trip to the Whaling Museum on Thursday.  

SS– This week we are learning about Justice. The students will review the pledge of allegiance, learn about immigrants, and discuss various leaders of justice.

Reminders  

This Thursday is our trip to the Whaling Museum. We will return to school in time for lunch. Please send students to school in their uniform for the trip.

The non-fiction book report is due on Wednesday, May 28th.
