We have been very busy in 2AA! The students have been working cooperatively on projects and diving into many different books. We are getting into the Thanksgiving spirit with our class chapter book from the Nate the Great series.

Here’s a look at what we will be learning this week!

Math– This week the students will count up and down between 90 and 1,000 using ones, tens and hundreds. They will learn to understand the value of each digit in a three digit number and be able to represent numbers in various ways.

Reading- We will be reading the story Nate the Great Talks Turkey from the Nate the Great Series. This is a chapter book about a young detective who is solving the mystery of a missing turkey. We will continue to work on skills such as predicting, inferencing and comprehension.

Science- We will be completing our vocabulary cards and a review sheet to study for the Chapter 3 test on Friday.

Social Studies- The students did a great job comparing life long ago to life today last week. This week we will be learning about Native Americans and Pilgrims. This will coincide with the book we will read next in reading.

Religion- We will be beginning a new unit in religion surrounding the topic of how God makes our bad times good. The first story we will read will be the story of Ruth through which we will discuss how God helps us show his love.
