Hello everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Please remember to check their green folders everyday for announcements. Today will also go home their orange reading folders. These work the same as take home folders. They must come back everyday from school. This will have reading material we go over in class that they can use to review at home for tests. This week is also Back to School night! I am excited for you to hear more about what we do in our class and to see some student work hung up.
Spelling – 3x each is due Thursday only this week in their S books. Spelling words are: man, can, nap, tap, cat, hat, not, does
Math – This week we will start our first module on addition. They will get homework every night except Fridays.
Reading – We have our first reading test on Thursday. Our HF words this week are: does, not, school, what. They must be able to see these words, recognize them and know them by heart. We will be learning about short a this week, inflectional ending -s.
Writing – We will begin writing in our journals!
Social Studies – We will learn about rights and responsibilities we have as citizens.
