Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter/spring break. Time to get back into the routine now! I can’t believe we only have just a little bit more of 2 months left of school. Please check their green folders every night for any important information and notices. We have a normal week this week with our reading and spelling tests. 

 

Spelling – 3x each or 10 sentences is due Wednesday. Our spelling test is this Friday, these words are a short but tricky because they need to memorize whether to use -er -ur or -ir. Here are our new words – her, fern, bird, dirt, fur, work, barn, arm, climb, through

 

Math – We will finish up our data lesson on Monday, review Tuesday and take our test Wednesday. (4/10)

 

ELA – This week we will be learning about three other “r” controlled teams. -er, -ir, -ur this will be tricky because all three sound the same. This week we will be learning about adding -er to a verb to make it a noun. For example teach turns into teacher. Our vocabulary words leaped – made a big jump and stretched – extend a body part. Our new HF words are another, climb, full, great, poor, through

 

Writing  – This week we will continue practicing adding adjectives into our writing. We will also be practicing making our sentences longer by adding joining words and writing more than one sentence.

 

Social Studies/ Science – We will be starting our new Social Studies unit about community. We will also be doing our scholastic about the solar eclipse and do a short lesson about earthquakes!
