Hello everyone! Please make sure to check their green folders for any important information or notices. This week is a regular week with tests. This Monday we will be celebrating Earth Day with a Scholastic about plastic in the ocean, a Earth craft about our appreciation and what we love about this world. We just finished our grass pots yesterday and will observe them this week to see if they grow.
Spelling – 3x each is due Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Friday. Our new words this week are: cow, town, how, mouse, mouth, out, born, roar, nothing, early
Math – This week we will have our place value test on Tuesday (4/23). After we will start module 10 which will be about starting at a number from 1-100 and be able to count by 1s from that number. We will also learn about tens and ones with the tens place from 2-9. Also get into the hundreds place.
ELA – This week we will be learning about our first dipthong “ou” and “ow”. We will be talking about -er compared to -est. Also, we will learn about suffixes – ly, -less, -ful, and -or. Our new vocabulary words are suddenly – happening quickly and scrambled – an example is walking quickly to school/ or rushing for time. Our new HF words are: color, early, instead, nothing, oh, thought
Writing – We will start thinking of topics we want to write our books about.
Social Studies – We will learn about maps and models.
