Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the nice weather this weekend! I am so happy spring is almost upon us. For me, this is when the school year starts to fly by! This week is normal week for our tests. We have our book fair slot on Tuesday. Any questions or concerns please let me know!
Spelling – 3x each is due on Wednesday and spelling test is on Friday! Our spelling words are: find, kind, night, right, by, pie, caught, listen
Math – Math test is on Wednesday on module 11. Then, we will begin module 12 about understanding addition and subtraction with tens and ones.
ELA – Reading test on Thursday. We will learn about long i vowel teams which are /igh/, /ie/, /i/ /y/. We will also be learning about when we have a verb that ends in /y/ and we want to add /ing/ and /ed, we have to drop the /y/ and then add our ending. We will be discussing context clues and our new vocabulary words. Our new vocabulary words are: beautiful – pleasing and fancy – not plain. Our HF words this week are: caught, flew, know, laugh, listen, were
Writing – We will be doing journal work this week.
Social Studies/Science – We will review continents and oceans. We will also talk about one more famous black historian who loved bugs!
Religion – We will be learning about stories in our new book about Samuel.
