Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. Please continue to check their green folders for any important notices and information. We have an author coming to our school to read and act out a story for grades K-3 in honor of Read Across America. This week we have Green Day on Friday! This is a dress down of no charge but they must wear green. Friday we will be celebrating St. Patricks Day as well with lucky charm math graphing, compound word rainbows and more! 

 

Spelling – 3x each is due Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Friday. Our spelling words are: key, bumpy, puppy, funny, penny, sandy, my, night, wash, would

 

Math – This week we have our math test on Tuesday. I’m excited that we will now start our new module on data! This will be different types of graphs and word problems to go along with them.

 

ELA – We will be learning about “y” and “ey” making the long e sound at the end of words. We will also be going over compound words and base words before inflectional endings. Our new vocabulary words are clever – thinking of good ideas signal – like raising your hand. Our HF words are: found, hard, near, woman, right, would

 

Writing – We will continue to write complete sentences and learn about putting adjectives in our writing.

 

Science/ Social Studies – Last week was hectic coming back so this week we will actually be planting our seeds. We will be planting grass and once long enough we will give them a face and a haircut! By the end of this week we will go back to social studies.
