Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a great break. This week we have our reading test on Thursday and spelling test on Friday. Any questions or concerns let me know on Dojo.
Spelling – 3x each is due on Wednesday. Our new spelling words this week are:
Math – We will continue our fifth module about data and graphs. We are going over tally charts and introducing bar graphs this week. Remember to ensure during homework when the question asks them “How many more are example than example?” They need to subtract those two numbers.
ELA – Reading test is on Thursday. We will be learning about soft c and soft g. When those two letters are in front of an e, y, or i they say their soft sound. C’s soft sound is the /s/ sound and G’s soft sound is /j/. We will also be learning this week about adding the endings “ed” and “ing” to words that end in an /e/. We will also learn about future tense. When the sentence has the word “will” before the verb it is in the future.
Writing – We will be working in our handwriting books.
Science/ Social Studies – We will be watching some videos on Mystery Science along with a little project.
Religion – We will be learning about the stories of The Battle of Jericho, The Call of Gideon, Gideon Leads God’s People.
