I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather! Welcome back to a short week at Trinity. As a general reminder, the Middle School will be taking a field trip to President Theodore Roosevelt’s home, Sagamore Hill on Thursday. Please return the permission slips and payment by Tuesday. Also, due to the short week and field trip, none of the religion classes have a memory verse this week.
6th Religion
In religion this week we will learn about the Passover and how the God used Moses to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
6th Social Studies
In social studies this week, the students will finish Topic 2- Mesopotamia and the Fertile Crescent. We will study the Phoenicians and the origins and history of Judaism. Next week we will review and the test will be on Thursday, October 24th.
7th Religion
In seventh grade religion, we will examine the first three of the Ten Commandments and how we can use those as guidance in our modern day lives. Next week we will complete the unit, and the test on Unit 1 will be on Monday, October 28th.
7th Social Studies
This week we will continue studying the 13 English Colonies. We will focus on the Middle and Southern Colonies, and then colonial Society. The test on Topic 2 will be on Friday, October 25th.
8th Religion
On Tuesday, October 15th, the students will have their test on Unit 1. Then, we will begin studying the Exodus.
8th Social Studies
This week we will review Topic 9- Reconstruction. The test will be on Monday, October 21st.
