Welcome back! First of all, I would like to thank all of our Veterans and active military members for your service and willingness to put your lives on the line for our nation.
6th Religion
This week we will look at the highly unusual story of Balaam and his donkey, which shows us that God will use very unlikely means to accomplish His will. There is no memory verse this week.
6th Social Studies
Last week, the students began researching different Egyptian pharaohs and put together notes for their projects. This week, the students will complete Google slides presentations that they will present in class Thursday. They have been working diligently, and I am looking forward to seeing their presentations.
7th Religion
This week we will look at the the beginning of the Church, meaning all the followers and believers in Jesus. We will study Jesus calling His first disciples, and the leadership Jesus established for the ministry to continue after His Ascension. There is no memory verse this week.
7th Social Studies
This week we will finish learning about the move towards American independence from Britain, and then we will study the actual Declaration of Independence.
8th Religion
In religion, we are getting towards the end of the Israelites 40 years in the desert. This week we will study how God healed the Israelites from the venomous snakes of the wilderness, and then the final advice Moses gave the people before his death. There is no memory verse this week.
8th Social Studies
This week we will finish studying the labor movement of the Second Industrial Revolution, and then we will have a Monopoly rematch since we ran short on time last week.
