Welcome back! Here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
This week we will be finishing up the last few lessons of the year. We will study Jesus’ baptism, his temptation in the wilderness, and and the calling of the first disciples. Then, the students will research each of the 12 Disciples.
6th Social Studies
On Monday, we will finish up the unit on Rome by learning about Byzantine religion and culture. The test on Topic 8 will be on Friday, May 17th.
7th Religion
On Monday and Tuesday we will complete Unit 5 with looking at the reasons we should pray and when we should pray. The test on Unit 5 will be on Tuesday, May 21st.
7th Social Studies
The students will have their test on Topic 7 on Thursday, May 16th. On Friday, we will begin reviewing for the final.
8th Religion
This week we will be wrapping up Unit 4. We will study Hezekiah, Manasseh, and Josiah- all kings of Israel and Judah. Then, we will study the prophecies of Isaiah and Jonah. The students will have an open book test on Unit 4 on Tuesday, May 21st.
8th Social Studies
On Friday, the students began their final research projects on the top events and cultural moments of each decade from 1960 to 2009. They will begin presenting their projects on Friday, May 17th. Since that is a scheduled dress down day, they may dress as their assigned decade for their presentations.
