Welcome, everyone! Here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
In religion, the students are working on an in-school research project on one of the 12 Disciples. They will present their projects on Friday. The memory verse this week is Galatians 6:14.
6th Social Studies
This week we will wrap up our last unit by learning about the feudal system in Europe. Then, they will review for their last chapter test of the year. The test will be on Monday, May 19th.
7th Religion
On Monday, we will continue learning about the dramatic story of David and Bathsheba. Then, we will study the different seasons of the church year. The memory verse this week is 1 John 1:8-9.
7th Social Studies
The test on Topic 8- The Civil War will be on Thursday. May 15th. We will then work on the last research project of the year on important figures of the Civil War.
8th Religion
This week we will focus on the ministry of John the Baptist and how he prepared the way for Jesus. We will also learn about how to talk about our Christian faith, and then we will study baptism. The memory verse for this week is Luke 2:11.
8th Social Studies
In social studies, the students will work on research projects on the pop culture of each decade of the 1970s-2000s. They will present their research before our Memorial Day long weekend.
