Hello, everyone. We a very short week, due to Holy Week and Easter. I hope we all have a blessed Easter and a restful break! Here are the updates for the next few days.

6th Religion

In religion this week, we will finish learning about the downfall of King Joash, and then learn from the example of faithful King Hezekiah as we study his prayer to God. No memory verse this week, but we will resume after the break.

6th Social Studies

This week we will complete the notes on Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic period. The students will begin reviewing for the test on Topic 6 when we return from break. The test will be on Friday, April 12th.

7th Religion

The seventh grade religion class has lined up perfectly with Holy Week this year! We will study the events of Jesus life in the week leading up to the Resurrection, and then we will study what His resurrection means about Him and for us. No memory verse this week, but we will resume after the break.

7th Social Studies

On Monday, the students will present their Hero or Villain projects to the class. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will study the presidencies of John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson, both the positives and the many negatives.

8th Religion

Eighth grade will complete unit 3 by studying the life and wisdom of King Solomon. Then, after the break we will review for the test, which will be on Thursday, April 10th.

8th Social Studies

On Monday, we will study the early days of World War II and the U.S. entrance into the war. Then, the students will complete a map activity to help get a visual of how the world was affected by the war.
