Welcome back to a new week! Here are the updates for religion and social studies.

6th Religion

This week we are continuing to study Saul and David, the first and second kings of Israel. This week we will focus on Saul’s very sad downfall, and David becoming king. We will also study the unfortunate story of David and Bathsheba. The lesson to be learned from these lessons is the importance of repenting of our sins. Saul did not repent, which led to his downfall, and David repented, and God blessed him with a successful reign. The memory verse for this week is 1 John 4:4. The quiz is on Friday.

6th Social Studies

This week we will be reviewing Topic 5: Early Civilizations of China. The test will be on Friday, January 27th. Next week we will jump ahead to Topic 14 to study the Kingdoms of Africa, starting off with the reign of Mansa Musa.
