Hello, everyone, and happy Valentines Day! Here are the updates for this week.

6th Social Studies

This week we will be getting into our lessons on Athens and Sparta, the most well known Greek city-states. There are no tests or quizzes this week.

7th Religion

This week we will study more about encounters with angels throughout the Bible, and then we will study who the devil is, and how we can be aware and try not to fall into temptation. The memory verse for this week, 1 Peter 5:8-9a, reminds us of that fact.

7th Social Studies

In social studies this week we will begin Topic 5- The Early Republic. This week will focus on Washington’s Presidency and the precedents set, as well as Alexander Hamilton’s financial plan to help our brand new country get out of debt. After the break we will then move on to the presidencies of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.

8th Religion

The students will have their test on Unit 3, Gideon-Solomon’s Wisdom, on Tuesday, February 14th. Then, we will finish the week by studying the construction of Solomon’s Temple. There is no memory verse this week.
