Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! Here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
This week we will learn about trusting in God’s plans. We sill study the Battle of Jericho, and then we will get into the book of Judges and learn about the leadership of Deborah, and her general, Barak. The memory verse for this week is Revelation 2:10.
6th Social Studies
The students will have their test on Topic 3: Ancient Egypt and Kush on Tuesday. Then, we will begin learning about the early civilizations of the Indus River Valley, Mohenjo Daro and Harappa, and the religious beliefs that developed there.
7th Religion
In religion this week, we will begin to learn some church history, focusing especially on the work of Martin Luther. The memory verse this week is Psalm 122:1.
7th Social Studies
This week, we will finish up the American Revolution and begin reviewing for the Topic 3 test, which will be on Tuesday, December 12th.
8th Religion
This week we will learn about Moses’ last days with the Israelites. We will study how God provided healing for the people, and then Moses’ last words and death. The memory verse this week is Galatians 3:13.
8th Social Studies
In social studies we have been studying life during the Progressive Era, focusing mainly on how people lived. This week, we will study the social and political movements and leaders who brought progressive change to the U.S.
