Merry early Christmas to all! We have a very short week, so there are just a few updates for you.

6th Religion

On Friday, we read the story of Jesus’ birth from Luke 2, and then the students were challenged to update it if Jesus had been born in 2022. They finish their stories and read them to the class this week.

6th Social Studies

The students have been hard at work on their research projects on Ancient Indian Kings, which they will present in class on Monday. Then, we will do some Christmas history trivia.

7th Religion

In religion this week, we will skip ahead to study the birth of Jesus to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.

7th Social Studies

Last week the students began presenting their research projects on African Americans from the Revolutionary War Era, and those will conclude on Monday. On Tuesday, the students will take their turn at my Christmas history trivia challenge.

8th Religion

Much like seventh grade, we will be jumping ahead from the Era of the Judges to study the birth of Jesus from Matthew and Luke.

8th Social Studies

The students will complete a classwork assignment to tie up the three lessons we’ve completed on the Progressive Era. We will finish this unit when we return in January. Then, the eighth graders will take their turn at the Christmas history trivia challenge.
