Happy Monday everyone! This is a busy week with lots of work and activities on deck.

8th Social Studies

8th Grade is finishing the Civil War, and will be taking their Chapter 15 Test on Friday. They will be completing the chapter review, found on workbook pages 244-245, and a study guide is being sent home today. The study guide is not a homework assignment, but serves to help the students narrow the topics they need to study. The students will also play Jeopardy on Thursday to help review for the test. The study guide can be found here.

7th Social Studies

7th Grade has started their study of the European explorers and conquerors. Both classes will be debating the hot-button topic of whether or not Christopher Columbus deserves a holiday. In addition to our regular studies, we will be visiting the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Wednesday.

8AA Religion

8AA is continuing our study of Genesis. This week we will be looking at the life of Isaac. The memory verse for this week is Philippians 4:6-7, which is found at the bottom of workbook page 23. This afternoon, the students will be receiving the outline for their October Religion Project, which is due on Tuesday, October 15th. You may find the requirements for the project here. Please feel free to email any questions you might have.

Have a wonderful week!
