Greetings! Here is the out line for this week in my classes:

7th Social Studies

This week we will be concluding our study of the Constitutional Convention. The students will learn about the factions of the Federalists and the Anti- Federalists, and how both sides shaped our national government. The students will complete an activity based on the Bill of Rights, which was added on to the Constitution under the pressure of the Anti- Federalists. They will take their test on chapter 7 next Friday, March 17th.

8th Social Studies

On Tuesday, the students will take their test on chapter 21, World War I. On Wednesday, we will begin our study of life during the 1920s. As a part of the unit, the students will complete biographical projects on important figures of the 1920s. However, we will first begin with how the nation adjusted to life after World War I.

8th Religion

This week we will continue to study life under the kings of Israel and Judah. We will especially focus on how Elijah prophesied to God’s people and the relationship that Elijah had with God. The students will actually create and act out skits based on the concept of speaking the truth in love, like Elijah did for the people who had done evil in the eyes of the Lord. The memory verse for this week is Isaiah 41:10, which is found on page 81 in the student book, or here. The quiz this week will be on Thursday.
