Happy Monday! I would like to publicly congratulate the students of 8AA for winning the Spirit Week competition. They had some wonderfully creative ideas that were recognized.

If you have not done so, please send in the payment for the Christmas show. The deadline is next Tuesday, November 5th. Also, 8AA will have their class pictures on Wednesday, October 29th. Please be sure to send in your order form. In addition to all of the regular school activities, the PTFA is sponsoring several upcoming events- please be sure to check their page.

8th Social Studies

Tomorrow (Tuesday), 8th grade will take their test on Reconstruction. I am available for extra help in the morning, if they wish. We will then begin our study of life in the West. We will look at the impact of mining, railroads, and how life changed for the Native Americans.

7th Social Studies

7th Grade has begun a study of the 13 English colonies. This week we will be focusing on the New England colonies, especially on the ideas and events related to religious freedom.

8AA Religion

8AA will be studying the call of Moses as well as the Plagues/Passover. This will conclude Unit 1, and there will be a unit quiz next week. I will give the students a study guide, and I will also post a link online. This week, there will be no memory work due to school being closed on Thursday.
