Hello Parents! Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there! I am excited for another beautiful week in May. Please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.

We will continue to review the alphabet, numbers, ten frames and our sight words. As we review the ABC’s we will focus more on their sounds. There are no new sight words for this week; however, we will review each sight word learned to date. We are starting the last theme in the Big Day curriculum this week called “Moving On”.  The topic for this week is “Going New Places” with the big idea being that the kids are ready to go to new and great places. The vocabulary words we will learn this week are: travel, trip, and visit. We will read the book “In Our Country.” For math we will review positions and review the concepts of behind, left and right.

This week we will talk all about living and nonliving things.  Our Scholastic Weekly Reader, titled “What is Living on the Farm” will teach about living and nonliving things. For Jesus time, we will talk about how Jesus promises to be with me.

Our activities this week include:
Playground: Weekdays 10:30 am (weather permitting)
Art: Wednesday 11:00 am
