Grade Two’s week of June 10, 2024

Weather Drawing: Welcome summer! - Brainerd Dispatch | News, weather, sports from Brainerd and Baxter

Last Day

I’m a little bit excited.

I’m a little bit sad.

I’m a little bit nervous.

I’m a little bit glad.

I’m a little bit older.

It’s the end of the year.

I’ll miss this class.

I’m glad I was here.

With the end of the year in sight, there are always a mix of emotions that fill our hearts. I am very proud of my second graders this year, as they have all progressed and grown, each in their own special way. They all feel they have improved, whether it be in their reading, their writing, or in math….to name a few! They are not the same children who walked through our second grade classroom door back in September! As their teacher, I treasure the memories we’ve made and the smiles they’ve shared with me these last ten months.

Thank you to Ms. Lynch and Mrs. O’Mara who helped our class celebrate the many holidays coordinating crafts and treats. Thank you to all who provided the treats as well as those who were able to visit our classroom and share some of your time to read to the class as Mystery Readers. We’ve been blessed with parents who have supported their growth along the way. We thank you one and all!

The summer is long so please be sure to include some reading and math fact practice in between the fun in order to keep skills sharp! Summer work will be sent home on the last day of school and it is highly recommended that it be completed and turned in at the beginning of the new school year. Upon completion your child will receive a NUT card!

Enjoy the summer days ahead!
