Important Notes:

Thank you to our class moms who sent in the supplies for our monster Valentine bags and snacks for Wednesday!

Makeup TerraNova testing will be taking place this week.

Please sign and return test slips that have been sent home. It is strongly encouraged that you review the tests. Test errors have been reviewed; in most cases, the children are able to make their corrections independently.

If your child has difficulty completing homework on any given night, please let me know with a quick note or email. This will help me focus my attention on particular concepts that need further review well before it is time for assessment. If homework cannot be completed on any given night due to other reasons, please let me know. Incomplete/missing homework is expected to be made up. Thank you!

A shoe tying competition will take place in the second grade the week after winter break! All children are encouraged to learn and practice tying in order to be prepared for the competition. Laces are often untied throughout the school day and it has become a safety issue. Let’s support the children towards independence and learning to tie! Thank you!

School will be closed for Winter Break February 19-23. School resumes Monday, February 26.

Enjoy the break!
