Welcome to Mrs. Ryan’s second grade Class Notes!
Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the long Easter break! Happy Easter!
The second grade was recently visited by Nathaniel’s family as Mystery Readers! Mom and brother Kenny shared a reading of The Donkey Who Carried a King, by R.C. Sproul. Their animated reading was a treat for our class. Mr. and Mrs. Pezzullo so generously gifted each child a copy of the book at the end of their visit. A big thank you to the Pezzullo family!
The second grade will be traveling to the Jones Beach Nature Center on Wednesday, May 7 to experience a Plants and Animals program. Please see the note sent home this past Wednesday. If you’d like your child to participate, please return the signed permission slip along with $10 cash in a labeled envelope with your child’s name. Children will need to bring in a bag lunch, snack, and water bottle for the day of the trip. *Please be sure hot lunch is not ordered for the day as we will be returning later than our usual lunch time and will most likely eat in the classroom that day.
Are you interested in visiting our classroom to share some fun and read a book to our class? If so, please let me know as soon as possible so we can set up a date! We’d love to have you! Who will be our next MYSTERY READER?
It’s that time of the year! Some children are in need of supplies such as pencils, erasers, glue sticks, and crayons. Reminders will be written in their planners. Thank you!
