Welcome to Grade 2’s Class Notes!
We had fun designing and engineering in STEAM Lab this week. Some of the second graders designed a heart shaped candy box and others created a love bug home with a partner or two. They all worked hard and when their project was complete, they reflected how fun it was but a challenge as well!
Second grade lead Trinity’s Wednesday chapel this past week. Their message was all about God’s abundant love and the many ways He shows us His love. God’s love for us can be found in the scriptures and we read them aloud to share. We took turns reading “sweet scriptures” from a candy box. We also wrote a giant valentine to God which expressed our thanks to God for the many ways he’s blessed us in our lives here on Earth.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the children enjoyed being creative by making their very own valentine boxes for their valentines. We wrote a valentine poem for someone we love. We shared candy and valentines with our friends. We enjoyed delicious cupcakes sent in by Mrs. Yee! Thank you Mrs. Yee!

We’ve been learning to sign and sing America the Beautiful every morning during our Morning Meeting!
Please remember that second grade has Library every Thursday. Take a look at the books they choose and please continue to encourage reading and returning them on time each week.
It’s that time of the year! Some children are in need of supplies such as pencils, erasers, glue sticks, and crayons. Reminders will be written in their planners. Thank you!
