We are starting a new chapter on the number system. The students will be exploring integers, absolute value, ordering integers and rational numbers. We will also cover coordinate graphing.

Our next unit will focus on prophets. This week we will focus on the story of Elijah and Naboth’s Vineyard. There will be a unit test on Tuesday, 1/14. A study guide will go home on Wednesday, 1/8.

We are beginning a new chapter on solving equations. We will be learning to solve 1-step, 2-step, and multistep equations. We will also be applying these equations to word problems that pertain to real life application.
