I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather this late into October!!
Joke of the week: What happens to a frog’s car when it breaks down?
Language Arts- This week we will continue Unit 2 in our Wonders series. Our essential question is: What shapes do you see around you? We will be opening our lessons by blending sounds together and adding sounds to the beginning of words. We will read “Kites in the Sky”. Our vocabulary words are: world, decoration and games. We will review the letter and sound of Tt, Uu and Vv and our new sight word will be “like”. In grammar, we will begin to learn about Verbs (action words).
Math- This week we will continue Module 4- Classify, Count, and Sort Objects. We will sort by shape, color, size and objects and have our test on Thursday.
Quick Math– We will begin with math centers this week. Those will take place on Tuesday and Thursday. We call it “Quick Math” because it is a quick review of what we have been learning throughout the week.
Jesus Time- We will continue to enjoy Mrs. Leahy’s children’s Bible and watch videos to retell us the story we read!
Science/Social Studies: We will investigate a pumpkin by cutting it open, with Mrs. Leahy’s help of course and feeling the pulp and counting the seeds!
Song of the Week: Praise the Lord by Micah Tyler
We will have our first class party on Thursday, for Halloween, but we will not be dressing up. It will be a regular uniform day!
