Welcome Back!  We are so excited to begin this new school year.  Below you will find an outline of what we will be covering in each math class, along with important dates for tests, quizzes, and school events.  Please check this each week.  It will be updated no later than Monday morning for the following week.

Math 6

This week we reviewed new school procedures due to COVID.  We also reviewed our expectations for online learning which you can find posted on the classroom, as well as some tutorial videos on how to submit work through the classroom using Scanning and Doc Hub.  The syllabus, which outlines the topics for the year, grading , and other expectations for the course is also posted on the Google Classroom. We will end the week, by starting Chapter 1, where we will learn about integers and their opposites.  There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we reviewed new school procedures due to COVID.  We also reviewed our expectations for online learning which you can find posted on the classroom, as well as some tutorial videos on how to submit work through the classroom using Scanning and Doc Hub.  The syllabus, which outlines the topics for the year, grading , and other expectations for the course is also posted on the Google Classroom. Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

We will end the week by starting Chapter 1 where we will learn about decimal expansion, square roots, and simplifying radical expressions.  There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we reviewed new school procedures due to COVID.  We also reviewed our expectations for online learning which you can find posted on the classroom, as well as some tutorial videos on how to submit work through the classroom using Scanning and Doc Hub.  The syllabus, which outlines the topics for the year, grading , and other expectations for the course is also posted on the Google Classroom. We will start the year by reviewing some foundations for Algebra, which includes topics such as PEMDAS, integer rules, distributive property, and combining like terms.  Please note, that this course moves very rapidly, so please be sure to stay on top of your assignments. There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
