Math 6

This week we are learning all about Rational numbers.  We will learn to order them, find their absolute value, and determine how to plot them on a number line.  We will also be classifying numbers (whole, interger, or rational) based on their properties.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are exploring how to simplify non- perfect square roots and how to solve equations with cubed and squared roots in them.  There will be a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Friday, 9/20. 

Algebra

This week we are finishing up our first chapter on solving equations.  We will be exploring how to solve literal equations and then we will begin our chapter review.  The test will be on Thursday, 9/19.  The test covers 2 step, multi-step, equations with variables on both sides, consective integer problems, and transforming literal equations.  Use the review packet to guide your studying.
