Math 6

The students will be exploring integers (positive and negative numbers).  Students will learn about integer opposites, how to compare integers with inequality signs, how to order integers, and about absolute value.  There will be a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Friday, 9/17.  Students will review for this quiz in class on Thursday and recieve a review sheet to guide their studying.

Math 7

We will begin the year by reviewing how in add and subtract positve and negative numbers.  Students will recieve a quiz review sheet on Friday to help guide their studying for their first quiz, which will be on Monday, 9/20.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

Students will begin the year learning about exponents and square roots.  Students will learn how to approximate square roots and how to simplify them.  They will also learn to  classify rational and irrational numbers.  There will be a quiz on Thursday, 9/16 on the above mentioned topics.  Students will recieve a quiz review in class on Wednesday to help guide their studying.

Algebra

Students will begin the year reviewing how to solve 2 step and multistep equations.  We will also explore how to solve equations with variables on both sides of the equal sign.  We will be reviewing for the quiz in class on Thursday for the quiz, which is on Friday, 9/17
