Math 6

This week we are working on a google slides project on the origins of Algebra.  Following that, we will be learning how to evaluate expressions.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are continuing with our unit on geometry.  The focus for the week will be different kinds of angles, such as complementary, supplementary, adjacent, alternate interior and exterior, vertical etc.  There will be a quiz on angles on Thursday, 3/7.  We will end the week by working on a city design project about angles.

Algebra

This week we are continuing with our unit on quadratics.  This week we will be learning how to solve quadratics using methods such as completing the square, vertex form, and using the quadratic formula.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Important Dates

Last week of Middle School Exercise Study 3/4 – 3/8  There will be a pizza party on 3/8 to thank all of the middle schoolers for participating.

Scholatic Book Fair :  Monday, 3/4 to  Tuesday, 3/5

PTFA Dress Down Day:  Friday, 3/8  Dress as your favorite book character.  $5 to participate
