Math 6

This week we are starting a new unit on computations with positive and negative numbers.  We will begin with addition and subtraction of positive and negative numbers.  There will be a quiz on this topic on Thursday, 3/20.

Pre-Algebra

We have a geometry test on Monday, 3/17.  The test will cover translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, symmetry, congruence, similarity, and different angle relationships.  Use the review packet to guide your studying. Following the exam we are starting a new unit that explores the pythagoean theorem.

Algebra

This week, we are reviewing our unit on quadratics. The test covers graphing quadratics, knowing the different parts of a quadratic, finding the axis of symmetry, finding the vertex and solving quadatics.  You will need to be able to solve quadratics using various methods such as factoring, completing the square, vertex form,  and using the quadratic formula.  Use the review sheets and your workbook to guide your studying. There will be test on Thursday, 3/20.
