Math 6

This week we are continuing with our unit on expressions. On Monday, we are finishing up our google slide presentation on Algebra.  On Tuesday, we will be reviewing for our quiz on translating expressions, which is on Wednesday, 3/17.  On Thursday and Friday we will be learning how to evaluate expressions when the variable is given a specific value.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

 

Math 7

This week we are continuing with our unit on statistics.  On Monday, we will be learning how to solve application problems involving finding the mean (average).  On Tuesday, we will review for our quiz, which is on Wednesday, 3/17.  The quiz will cover mean, median, mode, minimum, maximum, and range. At the end of the week we will begin exploring different quartiles of data. When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

 

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

This week our focus will be on how to use the Pythagorean Theorem on 3D figures, such as pyramids.  There will be a quiz on Pythagorean Theorem on Wednesday, 3/17.   At the end of the week, we will also explore how to use the midpoint formula.

 

Algebra

This week we will be finishing up with our chapter on Polynomials.  The exam on this chapter  will be on Monday, 3/15.  Our next chapter explores quadratic equations.  This week we will learn how to find the axis of symmetry, vertex, and roots of equations.  We will also explore how to solve quadratics using the zero property.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
