Math 6

This week we are starting to explore algebra.  The students will be working on an in class project on the origins of Algebra on Monday and Tuesday.  The rest of the week will focus on evlauating expressions.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Math 7

This week we are still working on our chapter about  statistics.    There will be a quiz on measures of center and variation on Tuesday, 3/15.  Be sure to know how to find the mean, median mode, minimum, maximum, and range for the quiz.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are  working with the Pythagorean Theorem.  The students are working on a project about Pythagorean Theorem on Monday and Tuesday.  Then we will explore how to apply this to 3D pyramids.  There will be a quiz on using the pythagorean theorem on Monday, 3/21.

Algebra

This week we are working on Chapter 9, quadratic equations.  We will explore the axis of symmetry, vertex, and finding the roots of an equation.  There is a quiz on these concepts on Wednesday, 3/16.
