Math 6

This week we are finishing up our unit on expressions.  We will be reviewing for our exam, which is on Wednesday, 3/12.  The exam covers the following topics:  Exponents, Order of Operations (PEMDAS), translating expressions, evaluating expressions, distrubuting, factoring, and combining like terms.  The students will be getting two review packets to help guide their studying.

Pre-Algebra

This week we will be reviewing different kinds of angles.  The quiz will be on Wednesday, 3/12.  Following the quiz we will begin reviewing our entire geomety unit for our test on Monday, 3/17.  The test will cover translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, symmetry, congruence, similarity, and different angle relationships.  Use the review packet to guide your studying.

Algebra

This week, we continue our work on quadratics.  We will focus on using the quadratic formula, the discriminant, and how to apply these skills to word problems.  There will be quiz on Friday, 3/14.
