Math 6

This week we are continuing with our Expressions chapter.  Last week we explored exponents and order of operations (PEMDAS).  There will be a quiz on these topics on Tuesday, 2/13.  The rest of the week will focus on translating expressions.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are continuing with our unit on geometry.  There will be a quiz on Wednesday, 2/14 on translations, rotations and reflections.  The rest of the week will focus on dilations and symmetry.

Algebra

This week we are  finishing up with Polynomials.  The unit test will be next week on Tuesday, 2/13.  The rest of the week will focus on quadratics.  We will learn how to find the roots of an equation, axis of symmetry, and the vertex.

Important Dates

Terra Nova Exams given 2/12 to 2/16.

Winter Break 2/19 to 2/23 – No School

Middle School Exercise Study does not resume until after winter break on 2/26.
