Math 6

This week we are focusing on multiplying and dividing of fractions.  There will be a quiz on Thursday, 10/28. After the quiz, we will be working on a recipe project that involves fractions.

Math 7

This week we are learning about 3 types of percent problems.  There will be a quiz on percent problems on Wednesday, 10/27.  The rest of the week will focus on how to calculate percent of change.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

We are still working with our chapter on solving equations.  We have been solving 2 step, multi-step, and equations with variables on two sides. There is a quiz on Tuesday, 10/26.  After the quiz we will be exploring how to solve different kinds of word problems invovling equations.

Algebra

This week we are continuing with graphing linear equations.  The students have learned different methods to do this, such as, using a table, x and y intercepts, and using slope intercept form. (y = mx + b).  This week we will be learning one last method called point slope form.  There will be a quiz on Wednesday, 10/27.  The rest of the week will focus on how to write an equation when given 2 points.
