Math 6

The beginning of the week will focus on reviewing our statistics chapter for our test on Wednesday, 1/26.  The test will cover measures of center, quartiles, box and whisker plots, creating dot plots, frequency tables, and histrograms.  The end of the week will focus on our new chapter on coordinate graphing.

Math 7

This week we are continuing with our geometry unit.  The beginning of the week will focus on finding the area of shaded figures.  We will then review for our geometry test, which is on Thursday, 1/27.  The test will cover perimeter, circumference, and area of various shapes.  Different types of angles,  area of composite figures and shaded figures will be on the exam.  Students will be allowed to use an index card that will have the formulas written on it for the exam.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are reviewing for our test on systems of equations, which will be on Wednesday, 1/26.  The exam will cover solving systems by graphing, substitution, and elimination.  Word problems using systems will also be on the test.

Algebra

This week we are finishing up our unit on exponential equations.  The test is on Tuesday, 1/25.  The rest of the week will focus on polynomials.

Reminders and Important Dates

January 24th- January 28th is Lutheran Schools Week and Spirit Week.  We have a number of exciting events planned for the middle school students.  Below are the dress down days.
