Math 6

This week we are working on word problems involving fractions.  We will have a unit test on fractions on Thursday, 11/5.  The test covers GCF, LCM, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions.  Word problems involving GCF, LCM, and fractions will also be on the exam.  Please use the review sheets that we will complete in class on Tuesday and Wednesday to help guide your studying. When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we will be continuing working with percents.  This week we will have a quiz on percent of change on Tuesday, 11/3.  Following the quiz we will be exploring how to calculate discounts, tax, and tip.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

We are continuing with our work on solving different types of equations. This week our focus will be on exploring how to write equations from word problems, including consecutive integer problems, and transforming formulas.  We will have a quiz on equations with word problems on Wednesday, 11/4.  Our unit test for this chapter will be next week on 11/10.   When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we are continuing with Chapter 5.  This week we will focus on writing equations of parallel and perpendicular lines, scatter plots, trend lines, linear regression, and graphing absolute value equations.  We will have a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Friday, 11/6.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
