Math 6

This week we are continuing with our chapter on statistics.  We will be working with meausres of center (mean, median, and mode), measures of variation (minimum, maximum, range), and outliers.  We will also apply these skills to word problems.  There is a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Thursday, 1/6.

Math 7

This week we are starting a new chapter on geometry.  We will be learning about scale factors, and different types of angles such as complementary, supplementary, vertical, and adjacent.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are starting a new chapter on systems of equations, which means students will be finding solutions to more than one equation at a time.  This week, our focus will be on learning how to solve a system of equations by graphing and by using substituion.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

 

Algebra

This week we are learning about different exponent rules.  We will learn how to multiply, divide, solve negative exponents, raise a power to a power, and how to solve an exponent of zero.  There are not any tests this week.

Reminders and Important Dates

If you are choosing to stay home due to the Covid surge, you may do so, but will have to remain remote through January 14th.  If you are remote due to a positive Covid test, you may return to school after your quarentine period of 10 days has ended.
