Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling-The words for this week are: can, had, cat, ran, an, bad. The vocabulary (“R” book) words are: away, every, call, hear, come, said. The children will write their 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. The vocabulary words from their “R” book count as part of their Spelling test. We will not have a spelling test on these words until NEXT Tuesday 11/4.
Phonics- -ck, /a/
Language Arts- complete sentences
Reading: We will read the story Jack and the wolf . The children will read it again at home. There will be a Reading test NEXT Tuesday 11/4.
Math- test Wednesday on chapter 3; next chapter -subtraction strategies
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2
Science- Habitats- Ocean
Social Studies- test on unit 1 Tuesday- book was sent home last week
Weekly Reader- Pumpkins- 5 senses

We had a great Pajama Day!
Tuesday is PINK day.
Wednesday is DRESS YOUR BEST!
Since we do not celebrate Halloween at Trinity, we will have a Fall Pumpkin Party on Friday 10/31. Thank you to our class moms and those who are sending in goodies! We will have special snacks, games and crafts! It is still a uniform day.
October morning work folders will go home this week.
Please ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, crayons,etc.) and send them in as soon as possible.
Please remember to check your child’s folder each night and remove the papers.
