Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this week are: if, is, him, rip, fit, pin. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday.
Phonics- We will focus on the sounds of r, h, z, and short i
Language Arts- possessives; proofreading; captions
Reading: We will read the story The Storm this week. The children will bring home their Reading books later in the week to read the story again at home. The children should be able to read this story to you. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
Math- There will be a test Tuesday on Chapter 1. The children took a practice test on Monday and you can use that to review with your child. We will then begin chapter 2 on subtraction.
Religion- Read and discuss the story of “God Gives Abraham and Sarah a Son”
Science- non-living things
Social Studies- Families
