Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling– The new words for this week are: cold, goes, hold, road, show, boat, by, high, kind, find, more. The children will write their 10 spelling words 3x each for homework Monday night. They should write 10 sentences by Wednesday. Use at least 5 words in each sentence. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics– long vowels
Language Arts– verb test on Thursday
Reading: We will read the story You Can’t smell a Flower with your Ear. The children will read it again at home. The take home story this week is “Pizza”. There will be a Reading test on Friday. We will be doing activities with our “senses” this week!

Social Studies– The Declaration of Independence
1AA News
Spring begins this week! We are looking forward to nice weather so we can go out for recess!
The Scholastic book fair is this week. Our class will be visiting the fair on Tuesday morning. Your child can bring in money to purchase books.
Thank you to our class moms, Mrs. Stair and Mrs. Abeles for organizing our party full of green goodies for St. Patrick’s Day! We had a great party!
